SafeComp 2026 successfully concludes its first edition in Spain with strong international participation

Organised by Fault Tolerant Systems Group, the conference brought together experts from academia, industry and regulatory bodies to discuss safe and sustainable computing systems.

SafeComp 2026 successfully concluded its first edition in Spain after four days of technical presentations, knowledge exchange, and discussions among international experts.

Held from 22 to 25 September, the conference was organised by the Fault Tolerant Systems Group at the ITACA Institute of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), led by Juan Carlos Ruíz.

With the theme ‘Engineering safe and sustainable computing systems’, participants presented advances and explored the challenges of developing safe, dependable and sustainable critical systems. Strong participation and high-quality technical contributions marked this year’s edition.

The conference’s single-track format encouraged dialogue and exchange among attendees, creating opportunities for collaboration between research and industry.
