The Directors of the Doctoral Thesis are Vicente Traver Salcedo and Carlos Fernández Llatas, researchers of the ITACA Institute.

Strategies for adapting European forests to extreme climate

ITACA researchers have coordinated the INFORMA FORESTS project. Over four years, the project has worked across five European biogeographical regions to analyse how to increase the resilience of forest ecosystems to increasingly severe threats, including prolonged droughts, large wildfires, pests and extreme weather events.
