Institute of Information and Communication Technologies (ITACA)

ITACA WIICT-2025

This edition, which will be held on July 10, has a submission deadline of June 15 for articles and posters.

On July 10, the ITACA Institute at the Universitat Politècnica de València will hold a new edition of its “Workshop on Innovation in Information and Communication Technologies” (ITACA-WIICT 2025).

The event, which will take place at the Ciudad Politécnica de la Innovación (Red Cube), has established itself as an open forum for disseminating research, innovation, and technology transfer results, primarily developed at the Institute.

This edition introduces a new feature: two forms of participation are available—submitting scientific articles, which will be published in the conference proceedings with their own ISBN, or presenting communications in poster format.

“WIICT is an excellent opportunity to showcase the work we do at the Institute, from final degree or master’s projects to innovative ideas in their early stages. We especially want to encourage young researchers to share their proposals and actively participate,” says Antonio Martínez, Deputy Director of ITACA.

Scientific evaluation and Awards

All contributions will be reviewed by the scientific committee of the congress. If accepted, they must be presented during the event through a one-minute oral presentation and a poster, which will be printed by the organizing committee to optimize logistics.

“A popular vote among attendees will determine the ‘Best Paper Award,’ with a €300 prize that can be used for scientific consulting services, English proofreading, or graphic design,” adds the Deputy Director of ITACA.

The deadline for submitting articles and posters is June 15, 2025. Participation is open to researchers from other institutions, and participants are encouraged to disseminate the call throughout the science and technology ecosystem.
