The ITACA Institute researcher receives the GRG Innovation award

On November 12, the 11th Radio Gandia Group Awards ceremony took place, which recognized personalities, companies, associations of all kinds, who stand out for their talent and work in Gandia and La Safor.

In this edition, the Innovation award went to Andreu Climent, engineer and researcher at the ITACA Institute of Universitat Politècnica de València. Among his merits, he has achieved the EIT Innovators Award of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology for the ACORYS innovation project, a medical device for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. He is also founder of the spin-off company CorifyCare and president of Science in Parliament, an independent citizens’ initiative that aims to make science and scientific knowledge one of the sources of information in the formulation of political proposals.

Andreu thanked the award, recognizing the role necessary to obtain it from his colleagues from the COR group of the ITACA Institute, CorifyCare and Science in Parliament, indicating that he was especially excited about the award, since «a person who innovates is one who thinks that the future can be better than the present and who gets up every day to work so that that better future is closer every day. «
