The ITACA Institute of the Universitat Politècnica de València participated this week in Transfiere, the leading European R&D&I forum, held in Málaga from 24 to 26 February. The institute’s presence at this strategic event aimed to promote collaboration between the university, businesses and public institutions, and to strengthen the effective transfer of knowledge.
The coordinator of ITACA Forward, José Dahoui, presented ITACA’s research and development capabilities in different strategic areas such as Health and Wellbeing, Industry 4.0, the Environment, and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).
Dahouí assessed his participation in the event very positively, highlighting that it enabled him to establish new contacts, renew previous collaborations, and explore new funding opportunities and synergies with key stakeholders in the innovation ecosystem.

“Participation in forums such as Transfiere is essential to promote stable synergies and identify collaboration opportunities and fosters the effective transfer of knowledge”, he stated.
For all these reasons, he believes that attending Transfiere helps to increase the visibility of the ITACA Institute and to consolidate its role as a key player in the innovation ecosystem, “strengthening its commitment to generating social and economic impact through applied research», he emphasised.
This action forms part of the project “ITACA Forward: UCIE of the ITACA Institute”, funded by the Valencian Institute for Competitiveness and Innovation (IVACE+i), the Generalitat Valenciana and the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), within the framework of the Comunitat Valenciana Programme 2021–2027 (Ref. INNVA2/2025/17).
