Defense made by Carlos Fambuena Santos
On December 3, at 10:00 a.m. in the Maxwell Room (4D building) of the Higher Technical School of Telecommunications Engineering, Universitat Politècnica de València, the reading and defense of the Doctoral Thesis “Post-processing of ECGI to detect atrial drivers” by Mr. Carlos Fambuena Santos are scheduled.
The Director of the Doctoral Thesis is María Salud Guillem Sánchez, researcher of ITACA Institute.
For the first time, the heart can be seen non-invasively exactly as it behaves during an arrhythmia, facilitating medical intervention. The work has been published in Nature Communications Medicine.
The system has been implemented at the Toros del Prado del Navazo rock shelter, one of the most representative sites of post-Paleolithic rock art. The study led by Ángel Perles and Ricardo Mercado, ITACA researchers, in collaboration with the Department of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage of UPV and the University of Zaragoza.
The monograph “Sustainable Mobility”, led by José Vicente Oliver and Javier Urchueguía, researchers from the ICT vs. CC group, analyzes the challenges of traffic and pollution in the Valencian Community with an unprecedented level of spatial detail.
The study, lead by Carlos Fernández-Llatas and published in the journal Scientific Reports (Nature), analysed clinical data from 294,734 patients included in the SCREAM project (Stockholm Creatinine Measurements).
The ICT VS CC group researcher succeeds Chadi Abdallah, research director at the Lebanese National Council for Scientific Research and the Remote Sensing Centre.
