ICTvsCC (Information and Communication Technologies against Climate Change) is a multidisciplinary research group within the ITACA Institute at the Universitat Politècnica de València.
Established in 2015, ICTvsCC develops advanced scientific knowledge, digital technologies and decision-support tools to address the major challenges posed by climate change and accelerate the transition towards more resilient, sustainable and climate-ready socio-ecological systems.
Our mission is to transform science into operational solutions for climate adaptation, decarbonisation and sustainable transition, connecting research excellence with real-world implementation.

We understand climate change as a systemic challenge with far-reaching environmental, economic, social and health implications, including ecosystem degradation, energy vulnerability, increasing natural disturbances, public health risks and growing threats to human safety and territorial resilience.
At ICTvsCC, we believe that effective climate action requires advancing mitigation and adaptation in parallel. Both are complementary and mutually reinforcing pillars: mitigation is essential to reduce future climate impacts, while adaptation is critical to cope with unavoidable changes and strengthen resilience across ecosystems, economies and societies.
Our research integrates expertise across environmental sciences, energy systems, forestry engineering, digital technologies, artificial intelligence, remote sensing, sustainable construction, climate governance and territorial planning. Through this interdisciplinary approach, we develop systemic, technology-driven and evidence-based solutions that connect science, innovation and decision-making.
