The INFORMA FORESTS project will hold the Final Conference on 4 June
ITACA-UPV researchers analyse how media coverage influences public perception of forest management
The research has been developed in the framework of the European INFORMA project (Horizon Europe), and was led by Marta Esteve and José Vicente Oliver.
Energy recovery from low-pressure water networks in urban buildings
AIGUATERM project, led by Javier Urchueguía, focuses on the technical, energy, and hydraulic study of this solution, based on the premise of taking advantage of networks already in operation without the need to develop new large-scale infrastructure.
Researchers from ITACA-UPV participate in the European Urban-Flow project to promote climate-neutral cities
The project will work directly with Valencia, Florence, and Tampere as pilot cities, while Brussels, Plzeň, and Edinburgh will participate as follower cities.
The INFORMA Forests project participates in the EFI Mediterranean Network Forum 2026
José Vicente Oliver and Eduardo Rojas played an active role in the conference
ITACA-UPV researchers lead a study demonstrating the potential of thermal storage to advance sustainability
The research analyses the behaviour of a real microgrid under different demand growth scenarios. Thermal storage can solve technical limitations in electricity grids with high renewable energy penetration.
ITACA-UPV highlights the talent of its women researchers to mark 8 March
Eloína Coll, Zoe Valero, Gemma Lucas and Ángela González, researchers from ITACA, who represent different stages of a scientific career, discuss their personal views on scientific careers.
International Day of Women and Girls in Science
Currently, nearly 40% of ITACA’s research staff are women, a date that confirms the institute’s strong commitment and, in particular, that of the UPV, to advancing toward real equality and bringing science and technology closer to new generations, fostering scientific vocations without gender barriers.
ClimaTIC Journal, coordinated by Javier Urchueguía, recognized for its academic excellence
The monograph “Sustainable Mobility”, led by José Vicente Oliver and Javier Urchueguía, researchers from the ICT vs. CC group, analyzes the challenges of traffic and pollution in the Valencian Community with an unprecedented level of spatial detail.
Eduardo Rojas, new Chair of the CIHEAM Advisory Board
The ICT VS CC group researcher succeeds Chadi Abdallah, research director at the Lebanese National Council for Scientific Research and the Remote Sensing Centre.
