on geothermal energy and sustainable buildings"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/gogeothermal.eu\/projects\/geoboost\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">European GeoBOOST project<\/a>, a conference will be held on 4 December at the Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Val\u00e8ncia, focusing on <strong>the key role of geothermal energy in the transition towards more sustainable and efficient buildings for local administrations.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the title <em>\u201cGeothermal Energy and Sustainable Buildings: Local Action for Global Goals\u201d<\/em>, the meeting, led by Professor Javier Urchuegu\u00eda and promoted by researchers from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.itaca.upv.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ICTs against Climate Change (ICTvsCC) group at ITACA-UPV<\/a>, will bring together institutional representatives, industry experts, and European organisations to <strong>address the challenges and opportunities of this renewable technology.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event will feature <strong>three thematic discussions <\/strong>covering the European perspective on sustainability, the role of municipalities in the energy transition, and real-life experiences in implementing geothermal systems in Spain and other countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The conference will c<strong>onclude with a guided tour of the pilot installation of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.itaca.upv.es\/aiguaterm-es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AIGUATERM project<\/a><\/strong>, a pioneering initiative in renewable heating and cooling for public buildings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis event offers an excellent <strong>opportunity to know the potential of underground energ<\/strong>y, connecting European goals with real local actions in municipal administrations (both urban and rural environments),\u201d state representatives from ITACA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For this reason, the organisers invite all those interested in <strong>improving their knowledge of this renewable energy source and learning from successful case studies to join the event<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul
