La Universitat Politècnica de València and the Regional Ministry of Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors, Commerce and Labor have created the Chair of Energy Transition. Its objective is to achieve a more efficient and sustainable energy model.
The chair, endowed with a budget of 30,000 euros, establishes the collaboration between the UPV and, specifically, the General Directorate of Industry, Energy and Mines. Different scientific and technological transfer activities are planned.
It is the first multidisciplinary UPV chair because it involves the Higher Technical School of Agronomic and Natural Environment Engineering (ETSIAM), the Higher Technical School of Industrial Engineering and the Higher Technical School of Computer Science. The direction of the chair will be rotating. The current Director of the Chair is José Vicente Oliver, a researcher at the ITACA Institute.
Communication and technology transfer between the UPV, administrations and companies is a fundamental line of action in this chair. Thus, next Thursday, November 21, the 1st Conference on Energy Transition, Digitalization and Climate Change will be held in the ETSIAMN Assembly Hall.
